If you’re anything like me, then you understand when I say that fried rice is one of my favorite meals. Well, now you can enjoy a quick and yummy homemade “fried” rice recipe. If you’re always on the run, I recommend chopping up all vegetables etc. beforehand and keeping in the refrigerator until you’re ready to use (1 – 2 days if wrapped tightly). I made this meal for my family two nights ago and served with cucumber, spinach and avocado salad from our Flavor Estate recipe collection and it was a big hit. Healthy doesn’t have to be boring and definitely doesn’t have to lack bold, mouth-watering flavor.
Ingredients:
Sauté veggies in olive oil (I used onions, scallions, red, yellow and orange peppers, broccoli and cauliflower – or any of your favorite veggies)
Your favorite brown rice recipe/brand, I use two bags of Trader Joe’s frozen brown rice (we prefer the non-organic for its flavor) microwaved for 3 minutes each
Add rice to sautéed veggies
Add Braggs liquid amino
Add garlic and onion powder and a couple drops of Flavor Estate’s very own Mama Mel’s Peppa Sauce
Flavor to taste!
